Direct the inquiry to the correct Potter criminal office

County Official criminal-record contact
Potter County, Texas District Clerk Criminal Department: 806-379-2313; [email protected]. Physical office: 350 SE 6th Ave., Suite 1B, Amarillo, TX 79101.
Potter County, Pennsylvania Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts: 814-274-9740; the page lists a Criminal Deputy at extension 272. Office: 1 East Second Street, Room 23, Coudersport, PA 16915.

Check the state on your court papers before sending identifiers or payment. These offices maintain court files; an arresting agency’s incident report is a different record.

In Texas, locate the case before asking for copies

  1. 01
Use the clerk’s Case Information link

The current District Clerk page links to the official case portal. Its search notice also offers public search computers in the office during listed weekday hours of 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

  2. 02
    Send specific record information

The notice says staff do not conduct judicial record searches that are not authorized by statute. They retrieve records from information supplied by the requester. Provide the case reference and identify the pleading, order or judgment you need.

  3. 03
Confirm the copy order and payment

The clerk supplies requested copies after payment is received. Ask the Criminal Department for the applicable cost, format and payment procedure for the identified document; do not treat a general name inquiry as an already completed file search.

In Pennsylvania, plan the document return and office visit

  • ✓
    Use the stated return-mail method

The office says document requests are returned by USPS First Class Mail using your self-addressed stamped envelope with correct postage. Do not send a prepaid FedEx or UPS return mailer.

  • ✓
    Avoid the lunch closure

Published hours are weekdays 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., closed noon–1 p.m. Contact the office before travelling to confirm availability of the requested file or any closure.

  • ✓
Identify the copy and access requirement

Name the criminal filing and case reference, and ask whether certification is required for the intended recipient. The county states that sealed cases are not publicly available; neither a paid copy request nor the public portal removes that limit.
